Mr. Housekeeping 2025 Movie Review | Love & Revenge Drama

Mr. Housekeeping 2025 Movie Review – Arun Ravichandran’s directorial debut, Mr House Keeping, is a film that speaks directly to the young audience, evident from its very first scene. The story kicks off with a bold college girl, Isai (Losliya), rejecting a flamboyant classmate, Honest Raj (Hari Baskar), in front of a crowd of eager onlookers. Fate, however, has other plans. Years later, life brings them back together—but under completely different circumstances.

Honest Raj, once a carefree college guy, now finds himself struggling and takes up a housekeeping job out of necessity. Little does he know, the house he’s working in belongs to none other than Isai, now a confident and independent professional working in an MNC. As they reconnect, their bond grows into something meaningful, but complications arise when Isai decides to marry her colleague, Harish (Rayan). This decision stirs emotions and leaves many, including Honest Raj, grappling with their feelings.

Mr. Housekeeping 2025 Movie Review

The film’s premise is engaging enough to keep the audience invested. The screenplay is peppered with lighthearted moments and emotional depth, making it a relatable watch for young viewers. Hari Baskar shines in his role as the confused yet energetic protagonist. His performance, though mostly effective, occasionally feels exaggerated, with visible influences from certain well-known stars.

Losliya, on the other hand, fits seamlessly into her role, delivering a natural performance and sharing good chemistry with Hari. Her character is well-written, allowing her to showcase a range of emotions. Rayan also makes an impact with his layered role, while veteran actor Ilavarasu and comedian Sha Ra add value to the film with their respective performances.

The movie explores modern relationships, touching upon themes of love, live-in relationships, and the complexities of ‘situationships’ in a lighthearted manner. Family dynamics also play a crucial role, and certain scenes—like Honest Raj’s realization at a police station and a heartfelt conversation with his sister—stand out as highlights.

Visually, Mr House Keeping is vibrant, capturing the youthful energy of its characters. The background score enhances the film’s mood, though the music occasionally feels a bit too loud.

While the film has its share of interesting twists and turns, the third act loses some of its charm due to predictability. The conflict between Isai and her fiancé could have been stronger, and the resolution feels somewhat rushed. A more unexpected or innovative climax would have made for a stronger finish.

Despite its shortcomings, Mr House Keeping delivers a fun, engaging experience with its relatable characters and lighthearted storytelling. If you’re looking for an easygoing watch with a mix of humor, drama, and youthful energy, this one’s worth checking out.
