Casting Details of Vidaamuyarchi
In Vidaamuyarchi, Ajith Kumar will sport a striking full-black hairstyle for his character in flashback portions, adding depth to the narrative. Initially, Sanjay Dutt was reported to play the main antagonist, marking his second Tamil film after Leo (2023). However, Arjun Sarja was ultimately confirmed, reuniting with Ajith after their collaboration in Mankatha (2011).
Arjun Das was initially considered for the role of the secondary antagonist, but due to scheduling conflicts, he was reportedly replaced by Arav, who had previously worked with director Magizh Thirumeni in Kalaga Thalaivan (2022).
For the female lead in Vidaamuyarchi, Tamannaah Bhatia was initially speculated, but Trisha Krishnan was finalized for the role. This marks her fifth pairing with Ajith Kumar after Ji (2005), Kireedam (2007), Mankatha, and Yennai Arindhaal (2015). Additionally, Regina Cassandra was cast in a significant role, which was previously rumored to feature Huma Qureshi, who worked with Ajith in Valimai (2022).
In August 2024, the production team of Vidaamuyarchi announced the inclusion of actors Nikhil Nair, Ganesh Saravanan, and Dasarathi in prominent roles. Later in December, Ramya Subramanian confirmed her participation, adding another layer of excitement to the ensemble cast.
